Social Media and Loneliness: Comparing individuals with and without features of Borderline Personality Disorder during the Covid-19 pandemic.
People can feel lonely from time to time and research has found that people with features of Borderline Personality Disorder (BPD) to sometimes report feeling lonely.

This study aims to better understand the experience of loneliness in people with, and without, features of BPD during the COVID-19 pandemic. The study also aims to shed light onto the effect of social media use on loneliness. We hope that the findings will inform adaptations to clinical interventions that aim to improve the wellbeing of people with a diagnosis of BPD, particularly during periods of social distancing.

The study is hoping to recruit people who meet the following criteria:
- Do or do not identify as having features of Borderline Personality Disorder
- Are aged 18 years or above
- Fluent in the English language
- No current or previous diagnosis of psychosis
- No current or previous diagnosis of cognitive impairment
